Am I dreaming? Someone pinch me….that is if you can catch me!
The 7th Annual Couve Clover Run will be taking place on Sunday, March 21, 2021, with LIVE and virtual options to satisfy your racing needs. And, it looks like the weather will be perfect for race day.
So grab your festive green and celebrate spring by racing a 3,7, or 10-mile course. This will be a modified live event with proceeds benefitting the Foundation for Vancouver Public Schools and SHARE Vancouver. When registering, please be sure to read through all guidelines to help ensure everyone’s safety.
This year, “Athlete start-times will be staggered over a 3 hour period to minimize crowding and potential exposure. Since the event will be outdoors and access and flow will be controlled, the risk for exposure will be low. The volume of people will be far lower and better spaced out than our community would experience going to the grocery store, mall, or airport. The advantage to the athlete in this scenario is that the event will be timed, the courses will be marked and everyone will race the same course for fair scoring.”
You will also need to plan ahead this year as all participants must pre-register; there will be NO race day registrations, and sadly, no big after-party. However, athletes are encouraged to celebrate their finish by having their own post-race food and beer celebration (don’t forget to send Why Racing Events your pictures!) and attend the Virtual Awards Ceremony scheduled for each modified live event Via Zoom and Facebook Live.
There will still be lots of SWAG, goodies at the finish line, and kids 12 and under can participate in the 3-miler for FREE!
