You think you know cornbread? Well just you wait!
On September 30th, scoop up the kids and bring the whole family to the Cedar Creek Grist Mill (43907 NE Grist Mill Road) for “Cornbread Day“.
From 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm you will see cornbread served with fruit jam, pepper jelly, bacon, herb butter and so much more.
While you are there you can take home a free sample of flour (of course donations are always appreciated) to make some of these amazing recipes in your own kitchen.
About The Cedar Creek Grist Mill
The mill is a working museum, showing visitors the inside workings of a grist mill and the way it was done in 1876.
You can schedule a tour during the week or come out from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm on weekends to see the huge pulleys and belts spinning as this working mill produces flour, corn meal and even apple cider…no gas or electricity are used, simply mother nature’s water power.
