Enjoy a great concert for a terrific cause as part of the free Concert and Cruise-In on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at the Wal-Mart located at 430 SE 192nd Ave. Vancouver, WA 98686. The free concerts and vendor fair will run from 9 am to 6 pm; the Cruise-In is from 10 am to 1 pm with award presentations at 1 pm.
The all star music line-up will feature DJ Oldies by Al Jones Productions at 9 am, Ricky Lee Jackson Band with Shawna Quade at 10 am, Eric John Kaiser (Parisian Americana) at noon, Tom Mann (Nashville Performer and Songwriter) at 1:30, Karen Overton (Folk and Pop) at 2:30, Ernesto Quilban (Internationally Acclaimed) at 3:30, Rachel Len (Vocalist) at 4:30 and Amber Sweeney (Hard Rock Café and Moda Center) at 5:00.
Along with all the classic cars, the Clark County Sherriff Office’s Bearcat SWAT vehicle will also be on display. Food vendors will include Nellie’s BBQ Double Decker Bus, Petra House Mediterranean and Grandma June’s Food Cart. In addition, Manning Academy will be providing free haircuts throughout the day. Any donations will go to the Veterans Community Garden.
“The purpose of the Clark County Veterans Community Garden is to provide a community garden specially created to benefit veterans. The garden promotes self-reliance, physical activity, social interaction and contributes to the health and well-being of veterans in the community.” Recently over 1000 pounds of produce was harvested and donated to the Veterans Assistance Center, Share and Meals on Wheels. This event is to raise money for the covered picnic area to be built across from the garden.
