Columbia Springs Ivy Pull

hey! sharing is caring :)

The whole family is invited this Saturday, August 24th from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  Volunteers should bring sturdy shoes, appropriate outdoor work clothing, a water bottle, and a sense of adventure!  Snacks, tools, and gloves are provided.  Orientation will start at 9:00 a.m. at the large white tent at Columbia Grove (half mile east of Columbia Springs on Riverwood Court, look for signs).

Since last fall, our volunteers have saved nearly two acres of forest at our nearby Columbia Grove property from the clutches of English ivy! Our goal is to clear the remaining ivy in time to plant native trees and shrubs this October. To do this we will need help from volunteers at our last few remaining Invasive Species Invasions. Help us to fully restore this forest property that is integral to chum salmon habitat!

Volunteers are encouraged to sign-up ahead of time by emailing [email protected], but walk-in’s are also welcome.
