Keep it Local, and Keep it Going!

Now more than ever, it is important to “keep it local”. If you are a business owner, or business professional, how do you let people know about your business, without spending so much money it may put you out of business? Networking. Face-to-face marketing. B2B. Yes, all those are correct. But let’s take it one step further…how about a Networking Extravaganza…in a fun environment…at the Clark County Event Center…for FREE! (OK, that’s four steps, but who’s counting :-D )

The Clark County Event Center (at the Clark County Fairgrounds, 17402 NE Delfel Rd, Ridgefield) is holding a New Year’s Networking Extravaganza on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 from 4:30 to 6:30 pm. Here’s the scoop from the Clark County Events Center:

“What’s the number one way to market a business during these challenging economic times? The answer is: networking and face-to-face marketing. With shrinking advertising budgets and today’s challenges in connecting with target customers, the best way to keep your business viable is through strong professional relationships.

The Clark County Event Center is inviting all SW Washington area networking groups and business professionals seeking new opportunities to attend the first annual – New Year’s Networking Extravaganza, on Wednesday, January 12th from 4:30pm to 6:30pm. Matthew Ferris, the new Marketing Manager for the Event Center and Clark County Fair, is co-hosting the event with one of the most successful networking groups in Clark County, (WIN or Women in Networking). This partnership is hoping to get local area networking professionals and business leaders together for a unique opportunity to explore the different networking options Clark County has and to jump-start 2011 with new contacts and potential partners with the goal of increasing business county wide.

“This is how you pull yourself out of an economic slump, you look for new opportunities, new connections, new customers and you do it as a community,” noted Ferris. Ferris went on to note that Clark County and the surrounding area is dynamic and vibrant and the chance to meet other businesses needs to occur more often. Each networking group that wishes to participate will get a small table to display with brochures and other informational materials. Additionally, each group will get 1 minute to speak about their group and why membership would be beneficial. Plus, attendees are encouraged to offer up door prizes as an additional way to promote a business.”

Did we mention that this event is FREE? Come find out how fun (and beneficial) networking can be! For more information, call the Clark County Event Center at 360-397-6180, or email Matt Ferris at [email protected]
