There will soon be two vacancies on the seven-member volunteer City of Vancouver Planning Commission and applications are currently being accepted. All applications are due no later than Friday, November 9th at 5:00 PM.
As a member of the Planning Commision, the term will be four years. The monthly time commitment is about 15 hours per month with regular meetings on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month at 4:00 PM at City Hall (415 W. Sixth St.). The Commissions job is to advise and make recommendations to the Vancouver City Council on the comprehensive plan, sub-area plans, zoning, and other land use items. There are other meeting attendance requirements as well.
