Each year, Battle Ground’s city lodging tax revenue must be used to promote tourism through events and activities. Tourism is vital to creating opportunities and a positive economic impact in the community.
Grants are now available for 2020 through the City of Battle Ground. These funds can be used for marketing or operations of special events, programs, or activities that will attract tourism in Battle Ground. If you have an event or activity in mind, apply online with the City of Battle Ground. All applications are due no later than Friday, August 30th at 5:00 PM. Each application must include a summarization of the event or activity and how it will support tourism as well as a proposed cost.
Each application will be reviewed by The Lodging Tax Advisory Committee. The committee will then forward their recommendations to the Battle Ground City Council for a final decision. Grants will be awarded in November of 2019 and will be distributed on a reimbursement basis. The estimated budget for 2020 grants is $40,000.
