You will think you took a step back in time and into the Wild, Wild, West when you board the Chelatchie Prairie Railroad, complete with “outlaws” attempting the “rob” the travelers. Fun for kids (and kids at heart) this special Steam Train Robbery Ride will take place on Saturday and Sunday, July 15 and 16, 2017.
“Be part of the action as robbers board the train and make off with your valuables. The gang has grown since they found out that our trains are “easy pickin’s”. The sheriff sent over Wanted Posters for this nasty team. Thank goodness the army has moved into Yacolt, setting up camp near the station. He also said that the posse may be in town prior to the train’s departure, checking out the passengers. If you see them, please be cautious and protect your valuables.” ~Chelatchie Prairie Railroad
All aboard for this fun trip through the forest and a 330-foot long tunnel carved out of rock on your way to yacolt Falls …but then, LOOKOUT! Outlaws ride up on horseback and board the train to steal coins, valuables, and a timber payroll! After the thieves are apprehended, the train continues on its way and stops at Moulton Station, where travelers can visit with (and have your picture taken with) the good guys, and the bad guys, too.
Trains will depart at noon and 2:30, reservations are recommended. Tickets can be purchased online for $20 for adults, $19 for seniors, $15 for ages 5-12, $13 for ages 2-4, and kids under 2 are free. The station is located on NE Railroad Ave, just south of Yacolt Rd.
