CERT Classes come to ECF&R

hey! sharing is caring :)

East County Fire & Rescue recently announced their Spring CERT Class schedule.

The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Program educates people about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations. Using the training learned in the classroom and during exercises, CERT members can assist others in their neighborhood or workplace following an event when professional responders are not immediately available to help. CERT members also are encouraged to support emergency response agencies by taking a more active role in emergency preparedness projects in their community.

The ECFR Spring class schedule is:

April 1 7-9:30PM; April 2 9AM-5PM; April 8 7-9:30PM; April 9 9AM-5PM. Successful completion of the course requires attendance of all sessions.

The classes will be held at East County Fire & Rescue Station 91, 600 NE 267th Avenue, in Camas. The cost of $30.00 covers training supplies and materials. Class size is limited; payment is due at time of registration. To registration or get more information, please call 360-834-4908 or visit them on the web at ecfr.us

East County Fire & Rescue provides fire protection and emergency medical service response to the 10,000+ residents who live in the 60 square miles of rural Southeastern Clark County.
