Celebrate Earth Day with a Trivia Contest

hey! sharing is caring :)

Celebrate Earth Day by testing your local watershed knowledge. Over the past year, nature has been a source of comfort and joy in a world where little else has been constant. Human connection has been restricted, and celebrations have been muted. So, this year, local watershed organizations were inspired to create an Earth Day celebration to remember.

“It’s been a hard year for all, and through it, we’ve realized just how fortunate we are to live in this beautiful landscape. Nature has been a place to escape and unwind more than ever before,” said Kylie Sahota, Columbia Springs Communications Coordinator. “We knew we wanted to do something big to celebrate our Earth in a time when many other celebrations have been cut off, and we wanted everyone else to enjoy it with us.”

Thanks to a collaborative effort between Watershed Alliance, Columbia Springs, Clark Conservation District, and Lower Columbia Fish Enhancement Group, the idea of a Community Watershed Trivia Night was born. This will take place over Zoom on April 22, 2021, at 6:00 PM. Prizes (available by local pickup only) will be offered to the highest scoring participants, include a seed starting kit (featuring vegetable seeds from Heirloom Seedhouse) and native plants.

Registration is live. Click HERE to register yourself and/or your household.
