It’s that time of year again! Time for face-painting, games, prizes, snacks, and a good ‘ole Felida red, white, and blue Annual Children’s Parade! This is a celebration of all children, July 4th, open spaces, awesome parks, and a community working together to improve the quality of life for all.

The first, a job hunting workshop, will be held on June 2nd at the Vancouver Community Library (901 C Street, Vancouver) from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM and will include local human resource specialists. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a panel discussion as well as individual one-on-one counseling. The panel will discuss resume building, interviewing skills, networking, and other important aspects of the job-seeking process.

Clark County District 6 is inviting the community to visit its Hazel Dell Fire Station (8800 NE Hazel Dell Avenue) on Saturday, June 6th from Noon to 4 PM for an afternoon of fun and learning.
The day will include car extractions, K-9 demonstrations by the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, a Life Flight helicopter visit, low-cost bicycle helmets provided by Southwest Washington Medical Center, fire engine rides, a junior firefighter challenge where kids put on turnouts and spray a fire hose, tour an AMR ambulance, and much more.
