Old cars, classic cars, hot rods, and just cool cars can still be seen in downtown Vancouver in July.
In honor of the always popular event, Cruisin’ the Gut, Boomerang fine arts will display works from local artists who focus on vehicles as their subject-matter. The artists use various drawing and painting media. Featured works of local artists Barbara Van Nostren and Russell Cupp will be on display, among others.
“As we approach the month of July, all eyes are on the streets in downtown. We await the arrival of the cars. Cruisin’ the Gut. We’ve been dragging our feet a little bit because the art exhibition that we are planning was a response to “Cruisin’ the Gut” and local news indicates the event may be in jeopardy.
We’ve been planning this since exhibition since last year and …. now, we have just decided to go ahead regardless of the disposition of the Saturday, July 15 “Cruisin’ the Gut” event. Cruisin’ the Gut is an annual Vancouver Washington phenomenon and either way … we will celebrate.” ~Boomerang Fine Arts
Join the team at Boomerang, First Friday, July 7, 5-9 pm for the artist reception with live music and light refreshments.
The Cars, Cars, Cars exhibit will continue at Boomerang Fine Arts ( 808 Main Street, Vancouver, WA 98660) through July 28, 2017. Regular viewing hours will be Monday-Thursday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Friday 8:00 am to 9:00 pm, and Saturday 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
