The 12th annual Camas Vintage and Art Faire will return to the charming tree-lined streets of Downtown Camas this year on Saturday, August 28, 2021, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

This event will bring over 60 vintage and art vendors that fill the downtown streets with vintage, antique, and repurposed items as well as many accomplished local artists bringing a wide collection of art offerings and styles.

Vintage vendors will showcase a large variety of home and garden items and indoor and outdoor furniture and decor as well as vintage clothing, jewelry, and accessories. Art selections include professional quality paintings, metal work, ceramics, garden art, photography, handmade jewelry, fiber art, recycled art, and more. The faire is on 4th Avenue and Birch Streets, near Camas Antiques, 305 NE 4th Avenue.

Pyrex Girl will be a new vintage vendor this year offering a large selection of Pyrex, Fire King glass, vintage aprons, tablecloths, dolls, clothes, and even a bed frame from the historic Farrell and Eddy store in Downtown Camas (where Camas Antiques is now).

Another new vendor this year is Handcrafted Home Decor by Shelley, Heidi and Alison who will be bringing a plentiful selection of vintage tool boxes, wooden boxes, chairs, windows, old trunks, wagons and lots of one of a kind items.

Returning vintage vendors include crowd favorites Boxwood Blessings, My Shabby Passion, Dora Lou, Moltwear, and many more–all with a large varied selection of antiques, vintage, upcycled, painted, and repurposed items.

Buckly Photo Tintypes is a new vendor from Washougal that is a mix of vintage and art. Owner Jess Buckly offers photo booth style tintype portraits which are photographs printed directly on a sheet of metal. She brings a small mobile darkroom and large format camera to the event and the process from start to finish for each portrait is approximately 7 minutes. Guests get to see the final tintype portrait made on the spot and get to take home a vintage-inspired piece of art with them in it.

New local artist vendors this year include David Gerton of Copper Art Works with his Mixed Media Copper painting and sculpture, Keith Russell featuring oil paintings of classic cars, SHIFT Accessories with vintage inspired, handcrafted jewelry with kiln fired steel or bronze, and Shelmade who creates botanical paintings and botanical art made from vintage maps.

Returning art vendors include Girl in the Pearl, Living Heart Art, Liz Pike Art, One Little Blackbird, Windy Hill Weavers, Women, Wine & Words, and many others.

For a full list of vendors, visit Camas Vintage and Art Faire online.

Bret Malmquist will perform jazz guitar music from 10:00 AM to noon and the Carol Rossio Jazz Trio with many songs in French will perform from 12:30 PM to 3:00 PM.

In addition to downtown restaurant choices, fresh food options will include Getta Gyro, BlackDog Hotdogs, Doug’s Kettle Corn, and treats and pastries by Truly Scrumptious.

“We are so happy to be back as we truly missed the vendors and this event in downtown last year!” says Carrie Schulstad, Executive Director of the Downtown Camas Association (DCA). “This faire has such diverse art offerings and everyone loves the hunt for an unexpected vintage treasure! It has a relaxed, comfortable feel and people will be delighted at all the new offerings. We have so much local talent. Our local shops are all open as well so it’s the perfect way to spend the day in beautiful Downtown Camas.”

The DCA hosts the Vintage & Art Faire, sponsored by Camas Antiques. The DCA works year-round to strengthen and promote Downtown Camas through partnerships, events, beautification and historic preservation projects, economic development, advocacy, and tourism functions.
