Everyone loves a parade and the one on June 3rd at 2:00 pm taking place at Vintage Books is a special one. It’s A Picture-book Parade!
Young readers will be treated to meeting five picture-book writers and illustrators for a parade into summer reading fun.
They will be reading from their picture books, having fun with arts and crafts, answering questions from readers of all ages and signing books. The authors books will be available for purchase and signing.
So be sure to kick off summer right and inspire those little ones to read.
About the Authors and Illustrators
Peter McCleery is the author of “Bob and Joss Get Lost!”, a 2017 Junior Library Guild Selection. He’s also written for Highlights magazine and for grown-ups on the McSweeney’s humor website.
Kate Berube is the author and illustrator of “Hannah and Sugar” and most recently the illustrator of “My Little Half Moon”.
Barbara Herkert is the author of “Sewing Stories: Harriet Powers’ Journey from Slave to Artist” and “Mary Cassatt: Extraordinary Impressionist”, which was named a CBC NCSS Notable Social Studies Trade Book.
Corinna Luyken is the author of “The Book of Mistakes”.
Gretchen Brandenburg just celebrated the release of her first picture book, “Mrs. McBee Leaves Room 3” and has three more picture books coming in 2018.
