About MusiCares
This organization was founded in 1989 by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences. Meant for musicians to have a place to turn to in times of financial, personal, or medical crises, its primary purpose is to help with problems in the music community such as emergency financial assistance, addiction recovery, outreach and leadership activities, and senior housing. Neil Young was their 2010 Person of the Year, and is a strong supporter of this great charity.

Harvest Gold
Lovers of the folk-rock sounds of the sixties and early seventies will like Harvest Gold. Fronted by longtime Portland area singer and guitarist Richie Bean, this band is quickly rendering favor with local fans of this genre. After being often-compared to Young by music reviewers and fans, Richie started playing a solo tribute to Young starting in February of 2016. He was soon joined by Chris Oschner, who contributes guitar, lap-steel, and vocals. Bassist Monte Allen and drummer/backup singer Eric Jerde round out the band.

They not only play hits by Neil Young, but salt their sets with folk-rock favorites by Bob Dylan, the Allman Brothers, Arlo Guthrie, Buffalo Springfield, and the Grateful Dead. The show features acoustic staples by Young such as Heart of Gold, Old Man, and Harvest Moon, and rockers like Cinnamon Girl, Like a Hurricane, Southern Man, and Down by the River.

The Billy Novas
The Billy Novas describe their sound as Hillbilly Bossa Nova blending influences from the great musical traditions filtered through their original style.
