Keep your kids entertained during winter break at the first-ever Aviation Winter Break Camp at Pearson Field Education Center for youth in grades one through four.
Kids can test their aeronautical skills at the whirly-gig table, engineer structures with clothespins and craft sticks, build a wave bottle and make it rain in a jar.
“This is an exciting opportunity for budding scientists to spend the morning with us and explore aviation through STEM-based, hands-on activities,” said Deborah Bessette, Aviation Programs Coordinator at the Pearson Field Education Center. “Glider building is always popular.”
The first session will run Tuesday, December 20 through Friday, December 23, 2016, from 9 a.m. to noon. The second session will run Tuesday, December 27 through Friday, December 30 from 9 a.m. to noon. “Students may register for one or more days, but the class size is limited to 20 each day, so sign up soon to reserve a spot,” said Bessette.
Cost is $40/day or $140 for four consecutive days. You can register by calling 360.992.1815. Pearson Field Education Center is at 201A East Reserve Street, Vancouver.
