The Annual Public Safety Complex at the Clark County Fairgrounds Open House is Saturday, September 20th, 2014 from 12 to 4pm.
Join the community in celebrating our local law enforcement heroes and their participation in the Chief for a Day program. Start out the afternoon by waving to the motorcade as it comes in, then find some activities, exhibits, and demonstrations that peak your interest. There will be a fire extinguisher demo, a K-9 presentation, and an auto extrication. You’ll find pony rides, Child ID & Fingerprinting, hot dogs and snacks, and an array of emergency vehicles on display.
The Chief for a Day Program provides an opportunity for local law enforcement, government agencies, hospitals, and the community to give special attention to chronically ill children. Each child chosen is honored as chief and treated to such things as a certificate swearing them in as chief, a badge, a uniform, and donated gifts including games, puzzles, and art supplies.
Admission is free. Grab a neighbor, load the kids up, and head to the most fun safety event of the year!
