October is the month that the Clark County Historical Museum (CCHM) offers up a bit of spookiness from the past. This is a chance to learn about the more unusual happenings that make Clark County’s history so interesting.
October 1st: Weird and Haunted SWWA
This special CCHM First Thursday event welcomes historian and paranormal investigator Jeff Davis to discuss his passion and research. He will share from personal experience, as well as give some perspective about the odd and unusual happening in the Pacific Northwest. Jeff Davis has a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology and Masters in Archaeology. He has written and contributed to several books over the last 15 years, including: Weird Washington, Weird Oregon and A Haunted Tour Guide to the Pacific Northwest.
Time: 7:00 pm
Cost: $4.00 for Adults; $2.00 for Children; Free with a Museum Membership

October 2nd through October 30th: Haunted Walking Tours
Every Friday and Saturday during October (except Halloween) you can reserve your spot to experience the spooky slant on history by joining one of the CCHM walking tour on a dark (but hopefully not stormy) night. Dress for the weather and be sure to bring your goosebumps and a flashlight to explore downtown Vancouver. This event is age 13 and over please. Reserve your spot now, as these popular tours fill up quickly.
Times: 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm
Cost: $10.00; $8.00 for Museum Members
