Become part of a group of dedicated Columbia Springs volunteers on Saturday, February 7th at the 2015 Volunteer Lead Training. This is an amazing opportunity to contribute and give back through environmental stewardship.
Volunteer Leads commit to 20 hours of service to Columbia Springs during 2015, in exchange for fun enrichment activities and training opportunities. Volunteer opportunities are matched to each individual based on the activities and tasks that are most meaningful to them. Leads receive recognition, prizes, and the opportunity to attend fun socials as part of this program. Anyone age 16 and over is welcome to join.
Topics during the training sessions (10:00 am to 4:00 pm) include: local flora and fauna, restoration, environmental education techniques, working with volunteers, public speaking, and leadership tips and techniques. Guest speakers will be onsite to help enrich the experience. Lunch and snacks will be provided. Click here to view the training day agenda.
