Take a Stroll Back in Time with Campfires and Candlelight

hey! sharing is caring :)

Stroll back in time at the Fort Vancouver National Historic Site and experience the night life of U.S. Army soldiers, Oregon Trail immigrants, and the residents Fort Vancouver Village.

Campfires and Candlelight is a signature community opportunity to observe a night-in-the-life of some of our local history.

This is a FREE interactive event, featuring costumed staff on the grounds and inside the buildings of the Fort. Visitors may get the chance to do laundry with a washboard, tap out tunes on a snare drum, play shadow puppets against the lantern-lit canvas of a covered wagon, throw trade axes in the Fort Vancouver Village camp, and inspect uniforms or camp equipment from soldiers from many eras.

Don’t miss out on this charming evening that you can bring the whole family to.

Event Date:
Saturday, September 12th, 2015
4:00 PM – 10:00 PM

Event Location:
Fort Vancouver Reconstructed Fort
1001 E 5th Street
Vancouver, WA
