Get Your Fix at the Repair Cafe

Calling all eco and money conscience community members!!! On Thursday, May 25th at the Vancouver Community Library check out The Repair Cafe. From at 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm you can do your part to keep stuff out of the landfill, conserve resources and save money. The Repair Cafe is your opportunity to have a broken item fixed by skilled volunteers, or learn how to fix it yourself.

New Non-Profit Offers “Village 101 Talk” To Help Seniors in Community

You are invited to come out to their “Village 101” talk on February 18 at 10:30 AM at the Camas Library. During this talk the community will discuss the details of this innovation community organization, looking to publicize events and to get more volunteers to help plan Clark County’s Village that will open in 2018.

Free Clinic of Southwest Washington Celebrates 25 Years with Breakfast Fundraiser

The Free Clinic of Southwest Washington will host a breakfast fundraiser in honor of its co-founder, Dr. Sam Beall, and to commemorate the clinic’s 25th year. The breakfast will be Thursday, April 23 at 7 a.m. at the Red Cross Building at Vancouver Barracks. The public is invited.

Since Dr. Beall (pronounced “bell”) and Father Ed Rankin opened the original Community Health Center in 1990, with ten volunteers providing free, urgent medical care one night a week, services have expanded significantly. Today, over 600 active volunteers provide care to low-income, uninsured and underinsured individuals
