Open Auditions at Magenta for “Is He Dead?”

hey! sharing is caring :)

Open auditions are on Monday January 26th, 2015 at  6:00 pm. These will take place at Magenta Theater, 606 Main Street, Vancouver WA. This is volunteer only…no pay.  Auditions will be readings from the script, so no monologue is required.  Please bring a headshot and any rehearsal conflicts with you to auditions.

Originally written by Mark Twain and updated by David Ives, “Is He Dead?”, is a fast-paced comedy coming to the Magenta stage this April.  Jean-Francois Millet is a painter who needs to clear his debts in order to marry his love Marie.  He fakes his death to increase the value of his works and pretends to be his own sister in order to collect his new fortune.  This leads to a series of mistaken identities and enough marriage proposals to make Shakespeare proud.
