Help Clark County Plan for the Future of your Parks

hey! sharing is caring :)

Clark County needs your help in setting priorities for your parks system.

The county is updating its long-range Comprehensive Parks, Recreation and Open Space Plan for urban and rural areas of unincorporated Clark County. This blueprint for the future will guide the purchase of land for parks and the development of parks, trails, sports fields and other amenities.

Clark County is working closely with the seven-member Parks Advisory Board to update this important planning document. But they need your help in determining what amenities should be emphasized.

A good place to start is watching a four-minute video, produced by CVTV, on the parks plan update. The video is available on the Clark County Parks’ home page.

You could also take an online community survey. The survey includes 14 parks-related questions, such as asking respondents to rank the overall need for different park amenities. The survey will take about five minutes to complete and is available on the Clark County Parks’ home page.

Or you could attend an open house, where residents can meet with county officials, learn more about the process, get answers to their questions and provide written comments during a series of three open houses.
