Cozy up with a good book… and great company. Join barre3 Vancouver/Felida and connect over conversation about this month’s book: Happy Money: The Science of Happier Spending by Elizabeth Dunn and Michael Norton.
Happy Money is a fascinating look at the true meaning of joy, something that seems especially important during this time of year (it’s also surprisingly funny with anecdotes and witty asides). The authors have studied happiness for many years, and found that while material things often give us an initial rush of joy, the pleasure we get from experiences is more authentic and lasts longer. In some ways it sounds counter-intuitive, or at least impractical.
The event is happening on Wednesday, December 16 from 6:15pm – 7:15pm, at the barre3 studio, 3604 NW 119th Street, in the Felida area. Check out the facebook event post to join along. Snacks and beverages provided.
