All around town the holiday season is in full swing! It canbe easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of it all and forget about taking time to enjoy the true meaning of Christmas. In Clark County there is so many ways to celebrate the holidays. Below is a sampling of the festivities the community has to offer and there something for everyone’s taste. Pacific Arts Ensemble, under the direction of Tony Bump, has been performing since 2003. PAE specializes in an eclectic mix of vocal genres from Bach to Berlin, Hayden to Hammerstein, and Schumann to Sondeheim.

Winter Tea at the Marshall House

The event will feature live music, historic re-enactors, and both sweet and savory treats.

Built in 1886, the elegant Queen Anne style Marshall House served as home to Brigadier General George C. Marshall and his wife Katherine from 1936 to 1938. At Vancouver Barracks, Marshall commanded the Third Division’s 5th Infantry Brigade and the region’s Civilian Conservation Corps camps.

Today the Marshall House is a museum open for tours and is available for weddings and other special events.

Space is limited and reservations are required.

Handel’s Messiah

The concert features the 50-voice Bravo! Vancouver Chorale, the Washington Chamber Orchestra and guest soloists. Conductor and Music Director Dr. Maria Manzo will lead the chorus and orchestra in this production.

 Gingerbread Houses

Bring your engineering and artistic know how to create your very own gingerbread house. We will provide the supplies.
(Appropriate for ages 5-12 with accompanying adult.)

Join us for a special holiday movie. Hint….On Christmas Eve, a doubting boy boards a magical train that’s headed to the North Pole and Santa Claus’s home. There will be popcorn and cider!
