A Thanksgiving Release at the Rusty Grape

Rusty Grape to Host Wine Release Weekend.

Ah, Thanksgiving. Big Meals. Lots of Shopping. And Wine. Yes, wine. You might not have known it, but this weekend is traditionally one of the largest weekends in the wine industry each year. And local vineyard the Rusty Grape invites guests to celebrate this wine release weekend by tasting guest wines from throughout Washington State. Here’s what we heard from the Rusty Grape:

“See what our world-famous vineyards are producing across Washington – without having to spend the gas money. Sip a special barrel sample of our Cabernet Sauvignon and -of course- try our newest bottle releases – including a bold blend of Sangiovese and Syrah and a Black Raspberry Port. Numerous requests have been made over the last several years for us to release a Port – and we are excited to present our very first in just a few short weeks. This weekend is also the kick-off to our North Clark County Community Food Bank winter food drive. To encourage participation we invite guests to bring two or more cans of food in return for special coupons or a discount on tasting fees. After clearing away our special, pre-reserved Sunday Brunch Nov. 25 (11-2 p.m.) we will host a Wine Club soiree including a tapas bar and acoustic Spanish guitar. Tapas will also be for sale to the general public, with flavors that pair well with our wine selection. Our kitchen will serve special dessert and other mouthwatering parings throughout the weekend and live music is schedule Fri.-Sat. 7-9 p.m. So step out of the kitchen, save your leftovers for week ahead and bring your family, friends and neighbors after your traditional feast and leave the cooking –and dishes- to us! Tasting Room Hours: Closed Thursday – otherwise we will host regular tasting room hours: Nov. 23rd-25th Fri.-Sat., noon-10 p.m., Sunday noon- 6 p.m.”

There you go. Your weekend, like your wine glass, is now filled.
