A Mid-summer Sampling of ArtWalk

hey! sharing is caring :)

It’s First Friday time, and this time it’s all part of the big July 4th weekend in Vancouver USA!

Here’s a sampling of what to expect downtown, as you may wander the Vancouver Arts District.

Vancouver Community Library at 901 C Street has a wonderful opportunity to view the Fort Vancouver Tapestry! Come to the Library from 5:00 PM – 8:30 PM, to view the amazing Fort Vancouver
Tapestry. This display is a creative, colorful and locally produced work of art, which depicts the history of Clark County in 108 feet (!!) of hand-stitched embroidery. The Columbia Room doors will open at 5 PM. The evening will include interpretive tours, hands-on activities, treasure hunt and more. The Fort Vancouver Tapestry will be on display at Vancouver Community Library in the Columbia Room from Friday July 3rd through Monday, July 12th. Hours are Monday through Thursday, 9 AM to 8 PM; and Friday through Sunday, 10 AM to 6 PM.

Over at the Clark County Historical Museum at 1511 Main Street, they’ll be offering free admission on First Friday! Stop by to enjoy history, before it’s all gone. :) There are tons of displays, so you relive some past glory at this wonderful community gem.

Down at Gray’s at the Park at 301 West 6th Street there will be a special treat for those participating in the First Friday Downtown event on July 3, with a complimentary tasting of wine and a delightful small appetizer for each visitor until its gone. Gray’s invites everyone to enjoy Gallery 360’s artwork on display! Great art and wonderful food make a great combo.

That’s just a small sampling of all the fun to be had on First Friday, July 3, in Downtown Vancouver USA. Have fun.
