2015 | 8th Annual Columbia Gorge International Film Festival

Whether you are a movie buff, love to watch creative cinema or are looking for something out of the ordinary to do…check out The 8th Annual Columbia Gorge International Film Festival (CGIFF). August 6th through 16th you will have the opportunity to see fresh cinema talent right here in Clark County, WA. The festival will present over 250 films and screenplays from over 30 countries.

This event is brought to you by Angaelica, a non profit organization, rooted in the arts and ecology. Angaelica strives to connect artists with collaborators and cultivate sustainable communities.


“The festival will opening night on Thursday, August 6th with an especially wonderful film for the whole family,” said Breven Angaelica Warren, founder and executive director of CGIFF.  The film, “The Incredible Adventures of Jojo (and His Annoying Little Sister Avila)” is directed by Brian and Ann-Maria Schmidt and will play at the Washburn Auditorium. Audience members will then be treated to a Q&A with the whole movie family.

Screenings and events will be held at a variety of venues including the Washburn Auditorium in Washougal High School, the Camas Library in downtown Camas, and the Fort Vancouver Community Library.

The festival will close on August 15th, at the Washburn Auditorium, with the premiere of “Other People’s Children,” directed by Liz Hinlein and written by Adrienne Harris. This film was shot in Washougal High School with students from both Washougal and Camas high school and middle schools in 2006. The evening will continue at Angaelica Farms with live music and the road trip, buddy film, “Split Gas”.
